Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-31-2020

-On Thursday, January 30th at 12:04P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a 2 vehicle crash on U.S. Hwy. 150 north of Orion.  Non life-threatening injuries reported.  The driver of one of the vehicles, Edward Sierra-Lee (age 20) of Moline, was issued citations for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and following too closely.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-30-2020 to 01-31-2020

At approximately 9:05 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of 8th and East Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 36 year old Matthew A Hammons of Kewanee on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Hammons was also arrested on a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear in court on charges of Violation of an Order of Protection and Criminal Trespass. Hammons was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-30-2020

-On Wednesday, January 29th at 2:11P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Co. Hwy. 5 south of Atkinson.  The driver of the vehicle, Bryan Rosmilso (age 44) of Bettendorf, IA., was issued a notice to appear citation for a misdemeanor speeding violation (85/55).

 

-On Wednesday, January 29th at 9:49P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a single vehicle traffic crash on Ebenezer Rd. north of Geneseo.  Non life-threatening injuries reported.  The driver of the vehicle, Derek Kennedy (age 29) of Morrison, IL., was issued citations for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a traffic control device, disobeying a yield sign, and improper lane usage.  He was also issued a notice to appear in court for DUI.

 

-On Wednesday, January 29th at  10:43P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a motorist assist on Grange Rd. north of Geneseo.  After initial investigation the driver of the vehicle, Joshua Bevans (age 40) of Paw Paw, IL., was issued notice to appear citations for DUI, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, and operating a vehicle with expired registration.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-29-2020 to 01-30-2020

At approximately 7:31 Am, Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of the 400 Block of South Main Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which a vehicle driven by Dean R Peach of Kewanee which had struck a parked and unattended vehicle owned by Georgios Lathouris. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 8:06 Am, Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 400 Block of South Main Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police charged a 16 year old Female with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

 

At approximately 12:06 Pm, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of Fairview. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested a 17 year old Female for having No Valid Driver's License and for Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. Also arrested in that stop was another 17 year old Female who has been charged with Permitting an Unauthorized Person to Drive.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-29-2020

-On Tuesday, January 28th at 6:50P.M. Henry County Deputy was serving a civil paper at a residence on E. Court St. in Cambridge.  After serving the civil paper the Deputy arrested Roxanne McKeag (age 64) of Cambridge on a Rock Island County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on a traffic offense.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Tuesday, January 28th at 7:17P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on IL. Hwy. 81 east of Cambridge.  The driver of the vehicle, Austin Becht (age 26) of Cambridge, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a revoked drivers license.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-28-2020 to 01-29-2020

At approximately 10:59 Am at the Kewanee Police Department, Kewanee Police recorded a violation of the requirement to register for the Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registry. No other details are being made available. 

 

At approximately 7:30 Pm on Tuesday, Kewanee Police responded to a call in the area of the 1000 Block of North East Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police issued a Notice to Appear in court to 19 year old Alexis M Echelberger of Kewanee for Criminal Damage to Property. 

 

At approximately 8:34 Pm on Tuesday, Kewanee Police were called to the 600 Block of Pleasant Street regarding a Disturbance. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 20 year old Ryan J Eklund of Kewanee on a charge of Violation of Bail Bond. Eklund was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Galva Police Arrest and Citation Report 1-20 to 1-26-2020

January 20, 2020 through January 26, 2020

 

January 20

 

Officer assisted the Galva Street Dept with getting several vehicles moved in the downtown area so the snowplows could clean the roads. 

 

Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 4th Ave for a loose dog complaint.  The owner was contacted and the dog was returned. 

 

Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 1st Street to check a residence after the owner found the back door open.  The officer walked through the house and was unable to locate anyone. 

 

Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 2nd Ave to remove an unwanted subject.  

 

Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6th Ave for an attempted phone scam complaint. 

 

Officer was dispatched to investigate a 9-1-1 hang-up call that came from the 900 block of North Center Ave.  It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial. 


Officer was dispatched to a hit-and-run accident involving a parked car in the 700 block of NW 1st Ave, As the result, Bailey Leverette, 20, Galva, was arrested for obstructing justice, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, criminal damage to property, failure to give information after striking an unattended property, driving too fast for conditions ,and  failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  He was released with a notice to appear in court. 

 

January 21


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4th Ave for a complaint involving harassing phone calls. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Commercial Street for a parking complaint. 

 

Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front St to assist a motorist that had ran out of gas. 

 

Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of West Division Street for a reckless driving complaint. 

 

Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to remove an unwanted subject. 

 

Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Division Street for a complaint involving a suspicious vehicle that was parked there.  The officer spoke to the owner of the vehicle, who had permission to be there. 


Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Swank Street for a loose dog complaint.  The dog was located and the owner came to retrieve the dog. 

 

January 22


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Burlington Road for a civil matter involving a vehicle taken without permission. 


Officer was notified about a repossession that was taking place in the 200 block of NE 2nd Street. 

 
Officer, along with the fire department and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to the 200 block of North Center Ave for a reported gas leak from inside a residence. 


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6th Street for a trespassing complaint.  

 

January 23


Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street for an activated burglar alarm.  It was determined to be a false alarm. 


Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about an attempted phone scam from the Department of Homeland Security. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th St for a neighbor dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a domestic disturbance. 

 

January 24


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a neighbor dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 1st Street to check the welfare of a resident.  The officer had to force entry after seeing a subject on the floor. The ambulance transported the person for treatment. 


Officer was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 500 block of Industrial Ave. 


Officer was dispatched to residences in the 00 block of NW 4th Ave and the 200 block of NE 4th St for complaints involving footprints in the snow leading up to the houses.  The footprints were made by the Galva water meter reader a few days earlier. 


Officer was dispatched to assist the Street Dept with getting cars moved out of the roadway in the 100 block of SE 3rd St so the plow trucks could clean the roadway. 


Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm. 


Officer spoke to a citizen by telephone about a civil property dispute. 

 

January 25


Officer was dispatched to Page Street extension just east of the Galva Atkinson blacktop to assist Henry Co with a single vehicle rollover accident involving a parent and several young children. 


Officer was dispatched to Route 34 on the west edge of town for a reckless driving complaint from the Altona area.  The vehicle was stopped by Knox County north of Altona. 


As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of NW 6th Ave, George Johnson, 21, Galva, was arrested for driving while suspended.  He was released with a notice to appear in court.

 
January 26


Officer was dispatched to assist the Henry Co Sheriff's Office with a 2 vehicle accident on Route 34 east of Galva. 


Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a prowler complaint.  Officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone. 


Officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Route 34 east of Galva.  Officer determined it was not an accident, but rather a motorist assist due to a car driving into the ditch.  Tarletons pulled the vehicle out of the ditch.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-27-2020 to 01-28-2020

At approximately 12:26 Pm, Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 100 Block of North Vine Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 19 year old Dakota Troutwine of Kewanee on charges of Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. 

 

At approximately 8:04 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of 4th and Grove. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 37 year old Kenneth L Meeker of Kewanee on a charge of Resisting. Unable to Post bond, Meeker was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-27-2020

-On Thursday, January 23rd at 12:14P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Wolf Rd. near Il. Hwy. 82 north of Geneseo.  No injuries reported.  The driver of one vehicle, Richard Gilbraith (age 62) of Geneseo, was issued a citation for improper backing.

 

-On Friday, January 24th at 12:50A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on N. Main St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, George Johnson (age 21) of Galva, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license as well as a notice to appear in court for the charge of possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle outside of approved container.

 

-On Saturday, January 25th at 12:37A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on S. Lexington Ave. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, John Peach (age 35) of Kewanee, was issued citations for operating a vehicle with no headlights when required and improper lane usage.  He was also arrested for DUI.  He posted bond and was released.

 

-On Saturday, January 25th at 5:46P.M. Henry County Deputy was in the area of N. Tremont St. in Kewanee and arrested Joseph Kida (age 42) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of criminal trespass.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-24-2020 to 01-27-2020

At approximately 3:55 Pm Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of the 1200 Block of East 3rd Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which an Unknown vehicle struck a vehicle owned by a 17 year old Male. Kewanee Police are continuing to investigate as a Hit and Run. 

 

At approximately 7:22 Am on Saturday, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of 3rd and Main Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by Karen L Korte of Sheridan, Illinois and Kaylee M Gisclair of Annawan. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 8:40 Am on Saturday, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of Beach and Prospect. At tthe scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by Michael J Ensley of Kewanee and Jay C Raley of Galva. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 2:54 Pm on Saturday afternoon, Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 800 Block of Columbus regarding a dog at large. At the scene, Kewanee Police cited 41 year old Steven W Lambert of Kewanee for Allowing a Dog to Run At Large. 

 

At approximately 8:58 Pm on Saturday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of West Central Boulevard. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 19 year old Mikayla L Closen of Kewanee for Expired Registration. 

 

At approximately 9:42 Pm on Saturday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of 3rd and Walnut. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 25 year old Melody A Kent of Wyoming for Expired registration. 

 

At approximately 6:57 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Edwards and Garfield. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 40 year old Phillip E Ince III for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-23-2020 to 01-24-2020

At approximately 4:58 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 500 Block of Elliott Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 46 year old Randal F Trimmer of Kewanee for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

 

At approximately 1:51 Am on Friday, Kewanee Police responded to a call about a suspicious person in the area of McKinley and Vine. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested a 17 year old male juvenile and a 16 year old male juvenile on charges of Burglary, Trespassing, Possession of Stolen Property and Curfew Violation. Both were issued a Juvenile Notice to Appear and were turned over to their parents.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-22-2020 to 01-23-2020

At approximately 11:25 Am Kewanee Police responded to a call in the area of the 700 Block of Roosevelt Avenue. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 32 year old Vanessa Jacome on a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Driving While Suspended and Allowing a Dog to Run At Large. 

 

At approximately 12:40 Pm, Kewanee Police went to the area of the 200 Block of 2nd Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police made a pair of arrests. Arrested at the scene, 37 year old Matthew J Hill of Kewanee on a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of Speeding. Bond was posted. Also arrested at the scene, 32 year old Brandon L Lee of Kewanee on a Henry County Warrant for a Charge of Domestic Battery. Unable to post bond, Lee was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Galva Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-22-2020

January 6, 2020 through January 12, 2020

 

January 6


Officer was advised of a repossessed vehicle in the 400 block of NW 1st Street. There were no issues. 


Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street for a complaint involving an attempted phone scam. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 6th Ave for a 911 hang up call.  It was determined to be a pocket dial. 


Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave to assist a citizen that had questions about a landlord / tenant situation. 


Dustin Brock, 30, Galva, was arrested in the 00 block of Morgan Road on a no bond warrant that was issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections.  He was taken to the Henry Co jail. 
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a fraud / forgery complaint involving a checking account. 

 

January 7


Officer took a complaint by telephone involving an individual logging into social media accounts without permission from the account holder. 


Officer met with a citizen at the Galva Police Dept to take a complaint involving a scam through the mail. 


January 8


Officer assisted the Henry Co Sheriff's Office with a two vehicle accident 3 miles east of Galva on Route 34. 


Officer assisted a motorist that ran out of gas in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. 
As the result of damage found to a city water shut off valve in the 00 block of Morgan Road, Dustin Gorden, 35, Galva, was arrested for criminal damage to state supported property and theft under $500.00.  He was given a notice to appear in court and released. 

 

January 9


Officer, along with Stark Co Medic,  responded to a work place accident on SE 2nd Street.  A subject was taken by ambulance. 


An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 4th Ave to assist a subject that had injured their ankle stepping from the curb onto the roadway. 


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave for utility wires down across the roadway.  Frontier telephone was contacted for repairs. 


Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8th Street for a loose dog complaint. The resident was warned about the city leash law.  The officer did not see the dogs running loose. 

 

January 10


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Ave for a complaint involving criminal damage to property. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1st Ave for a complaint involving a civil matter. 
As the result of a battery complaint in the 300 block of Front Street, Chase Harding, 30, Galva, was arrested for aggravated battery in a public place.  Also, Nicholis Harding, 25, Galva, was arrested for unlawful use of 9-1-1 for a non emergency.  They were both released with a notice to appear in court. 

 

January 11


Officer checked on a person walking in the 300 block of Commercial Street late at night.

  
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for a child custody dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a portion of the building that had fallen onto the public sidewalk.  The street dept also responded and placed barricades around the area. 


Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town for a power wire that had fallen to the ground and started a small fire.  Ameren responded and made the necessary repairs. 
Officer was dispatched to a holdup alarm in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.  It was determined to be a false alarm. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle striking a building.  After a short investigation, Howard Field, 74, Galva, was issued citations for failure to report accident involving property damage, improper lane usage, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, criminal damage to property over $500.00, no insurance, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  He was released with a required court date. 

 

January 12


Officer found a disabled vehicle in the 100 block of SW 9th Ave that was blocking the flow of traffic.  The vehicle was towed away.  The vehicle owner, Bryent VanDeWostine, 23, Rio, IL, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failure to appear on the charge of DUI alcohol.  He was able to post bond and was released.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-22-2020

-On Tuesday, January 21st at 3:44P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Colona.  The driver of the vehicle, Taylor Petersen (age 28) of Andalusia, IL., was issued notice to appear citations for operating a vehicle with expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.  He was also arrested on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of operating a vehicle with no valid registration.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-21-2020 to 01-22-2020

At approximately 10:59 Am Kewanee Police made a traffic stop on Lakeview. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 38 year old Joseph W Pence of Kewanee and 51 year old Anthony B Willis of Chicago on charges related to Driving While License Suspended. 

 

At approximately 11:57 Am Kewanee Police were called to assist a school in the area of the 400 Block of Willard. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested a 16 year old Male Juvenile for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The juvenile was given at Juvenile Referral. 

 

At approximately 1:13 Pm, Kewanee Police executed an In-State warrant in the area of the 200 Block of South Vine. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 29 year old Johnathan E Christian of Kewanee on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Henry County Warrant for Failure to Appear in Court on charges of Obstructing Justice and Driving While License Revoked. Unable to post bond, Christian was taken to the Henry County Jail.

-On Saturday, January 18th at 9:25P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to two vehicle crash on U.S. Hwy. 34 east of Galva.  No injuries were reported.  The driver of one vehicle, Donald Schinkey (age 41) of Sheffield, was issued notice to appear citations for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-17-2020 to 01-20-2020

At approximately 5:25 Pm on Friday, Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 600 Block of North Walnut regarding a suspicious person. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 31 year old Nickolus A McPherson of Kewanee on charges of Pedestrian Under the Influence, Resisting a Peace Officer, Resisting a Peace Officer with Injury, Threatening a Public Official, and Aggravated Battery. McPherson was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 2:35 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of Lake Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which an unknown vehicle struck parked, unattended vehicles owned by Larry Wang of Toulon and Betty Eggiman of Kewanee. No one was injured in the accident. Kewanee Police are continuing to investigate. 

 

At approximately 2:50 Pm on Saturday Kewanee Police were called to the area of Tenney and South Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving a vehicle driven by Trafton Hodge of Kewanee which struck a vehicle driven by Thad Elgin of Kewanee which struck a vehicle driven by Crystal Hernandez of Kewanee. No one was injured in the crash and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 9:26 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the 500 Block of South Tremont Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 51 year old Patrick M Cambron of Kewanee on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine. 

 

At approximately 11:19 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the area of Roseview Avenue. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 26 year old David P Mierzwa of Kewanee on charges of Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, Permanent Disfigurement, Unlawful Restraint, Resisting a Peace Officer, and interfering with the Reporting of Domestic Violence. Mierzwa was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 12:55 Pm Kewanee Police at the Kewanee Police Department arrested 53 year old Jimmy A Hollins of Kewanee on a charge of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-17-2020

-On Thursday, January 16th at 10:15A.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Chad Petty (age 37) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charges of felony driving on a revoked drivers license, and operating an uninsured vehicle.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, January 16th at 1:45P.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested James Daughenbaugh (age 62) of rural Lynn Center on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on a bond forfeiture hearing for a domestic battery charge, as well as an additional charge of unlawful transmission of an obscene message.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest Report 01-16-2020

-On Monday, January 13th at 12:19P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Co. Hwy. 5 south of Atkinson.  Non life-threatening injuries reported.  The driver of one of the vehicles involved, Juan Contrreras (age 21) of Kewanee, was issued a traffic citation for failing to yield the right-of-way when turning left.

 

-On Wednesday, January 15th at 6:44P.M. Henry County Orion Division Deputies responded to a residence on 14th Ave. in Orion for a report of a violation of an order of protection.  After initial investigation Deputies went to a residence on W. County Road in rural Orion and arrested Nathan Sutherland (age 44) of rural Orion for the charge of violating an order of protection.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-15-2020 to 01-16-2020

At approximately 12:30 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Burlington and Page. In that stop, Kewanee Police Sujey Robleto of Kewanee for Speeding, 50 Miles Per Hour in a 30 Mile Per Hour Zone. 

 

At approximately 5:35 Pm Kewanee Police responded to a call in the 100 Block of Fairview. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 41 year old Aubrey C McLaurin of Kewanee on charges of Domestic Battery and Obstruction. McLaurin was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 9:20 Am Kewanee Police responded to a call in the 700 Block of Tenney Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 26 year old Antwain R Cabil on charge of Theft, Theft of Mislaid Property, and Obstructing Justice. Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-14-2020

-On Monday, January 13th at 8:12P.M. Henry County Deputy assisted the Kewanee Police Department with a call on N. Chestnut St. in Kewanee.  During this call the Deputy arrested Paige Yocum (age 21) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of operating an uninsured vehicle.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

January 6
Officer was advised of a repossessed vehicle in the 400 block of NW 1st Street. There were no issues. 


Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street for a complaint involving an attempted phone scam. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 6th Ave for a 911 hang up call.  It was determined to be a pocket dial. 


Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave to assist a citizen that had questions about a landlord / tenant situation. 


Dustin Brock, 30, Galva, was arrested in the 00 block of Morgan Road on a no bond warrant that was issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections.  He was taken to the Henry Co jail. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a fraud / forgery complaint involving a checking account.

Officer took a complaint by telephone involving an individual logging into social media accounts without permission from the account holder. 


Officer met with a citizen at the Galva Police Dept to take a complaint involving a scam through the mail. 


January 8


Officer assisted the Henry Co Sheriff's Office with a two vehicle accident 3 miles east of Galva on Route 34. 


Officer assisted a motorist that ran out of gas in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. 


As the result of damage found to a city water shut off valve in the 00 block of Morgan Road, Dustin Gorden, 35, Galva, was arrested for criminal damage to state supported property and theft under $500.00.  He was given a notice to appear in court and released. 

 

January 9


Officer, along with Stark Co Medic,  responded to a work place accident on SE 2nd Street.  A subject was taken by ambulance. 


An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 4th Ave to assist a subject that had injured their ankle stepping from the curb onto the roadway. 


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave for utility wires down across the roadway.  Frontier telephone was contacted for repairs. 


Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8th Street for a loose dog complaint. The resident was warned about the city leash law.  The officer did not see the dogs running loose. 

 

January 10
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Ave for a complaint involving criminal damage to property. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1st Ave for a complaint involving a civil matter. 
As the result of a battery complaint in the 300 block of Front Street, Chase Harding, 30, Galva, was arrested for aggravated battery in a public place.  Also, Nicholis Harding, 25, Galva, was arrested for unlawful use of 9-1-1 for a non emergency.  They were both released with a notice to appear in

court. 

 

January 11


Officer checked on a person walking in the 300 block of Commercial Street late at night.  


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for a child custody dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a portion of the building that had fallen onto the public sidewalk.  The street dept also responded and placed barricades around the area. 
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town for a power wire that had fallen to the ground and started a small fire.  Ameren responded and made the necessary repairs. 


Officer was dispatched to a holdup alarm in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.  It was determined to be a false alarm. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle striking a building.  After a short investigation, Howard Field, 74, Galva, was issued citations for failure to report accident involving property damage, improper lane usage, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, criminal damage to property over $500.00, no insurance, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  He was released with a required court date. 

 

January 12


Officer found a disabled vehicle in the 100 block of SW 9th Ave that was blocking the flow of traffic.  The vehicle was towed away.  The vehicle owner, Bryent VanDeWostine, 23, Rio, IL, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failure to appear on the charge of DUI alcohol.  He was able to post bond and was released.

At approximately 1:56 Pm Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of the 600 Block of Tenney Street. Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 01-13-2020

-On Saturday, January 11th at 4:09A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on N. Lexington St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, Anastasia Crowe (age 21) of Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.  

 

-On Sunday, January 12th at 3:08A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a motorist assist on Grange Rd. northeast of Geneseo.  The driver of the vehicle, Gannon Aldeman (age 18) of Rock Island, was arrested for driving on a suspended drivers license and for possession of a stolen vehicle.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Sunday, January 12th at 5:26A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash at a business just north of Alpha, IL. on U.S. Hwy. 150.  After investigation of the crash Deputies issued notice to appear citations to the driver, Eric Daves (age 32) of New Windsor, IL., for the charges of failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and failing to report accident to police authority.

 

-On Sunday, January 12th at 10:19A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a suspicious auto and reckless driving on E1700 St. near the Green River.  After initial investigation Deputies issued civil notice to appear citations to Landon Saucedo (age 19) of Geneseo for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Deputies also issued a juvenile referral notice to a 17yr. old juvenile for the charges of possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At approximately 11:07 Am Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 100 Block of Fairview Homes. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 31 year old Andrew A Simmons on a charge of Domestic Battery. He was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 11:45 Am on Saturday, Kewanee Police and EMS responded to a call in the area of the 100 Block of Mill Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police performed a Death Investigation and it was determined that the person in question died from Apparent Natural Causes. 

 

At approximately 1:47 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Railroad and Harrison. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 20 year old Jason N Jones of Kewanee for No Valid Registration. 

 

At approximately 8:44 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of the 200 Block of Tenney Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehiclesdriven by Kimberly A Cummings of Kewanee and a 17 year old female driver. Henry St. in Atkinson.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested Toni Bos (age 45) of Atkinson on the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition without a valid FOID.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Friday, January 3rd, Henry County Investigators filed charges of burglary and residential burglary on Toni Bos (age 45) of Atkinson. The charges are related to burglaries that had occurred in 2019.  She remains in custody at the Henry County Jail.

In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 26 year old Melissa A Salazar of Kewanee on charges of Driving While License Suspended, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and No Insurance. Bond was posted and Salazar was released. Also arrested in that stop was 27 year old Alyssa N Schwigen also of Kewanee on a charge of Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.
