Police Beat

-On Wednesday, August 28th at 1:00P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash in a construction zone on E2200 St. north of Atkinson.  A vehicle passing through a construction zone struck a piece of equipment.  No injuries were reported. The driver of the vehicle, Timothy Printy (age 49) of Atkinson, was issued citations for improper lane usage and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

 

-On Thursday, August 29th at 11:46P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to an ATV crash that had occurred on Co. Hwy. 5 just south of Atkinson.  Non-life threatening injuries were reported.  The driver of the ATV, Joseph Doubet (age 26) of rural Atkinson, was issued citations for operating a non-highway vehicle on the roadway, driving without lights when required, and DUI. 

 

-On Saturday, August 31st at 1:40A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Grange Rd. north of Geneseo.  No injuries reported.  The driver of the vehicle, William Cosgrave (age 18) of Geneseo, was issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear seatbelt.  

 

-On Sunday, September 1st at 6:06P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Wolf Rd. north of Geneseo.  No injuries reported.  The driver of a vehicle involved, Laqua Grigsby (age 20) of East Moline, was issued citations for failing to yield the right-of-way when entering from a private drive, and driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Monday, September 2nd at 12:18A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on E2750 St. in rural Kewanee.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested Drew Richardson (age 27) of Kewanee for the charge of threatening a public official.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Monday, September 2nd at 1:17A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on NE 7th St. in Galva.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested Donald Brock (age 53) of Galva for domestic battery.  Deputies also issued a notice to appear in court to Stephanie Brock (age 43) of Galva for the charge of battery.  Donald was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Monday, September 2nd at 4:53A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Tenney St. in Kewanee.  The initial driver of the vehicle, Johnathon Christian (age 29) of Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a revoked drivers license and a notice to appear in court for the charge of obstruction of justice.  The subsequent driver of the vehicle, Megan Carter (age 26) of Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear citation for operating a vehicle with no valid drivers license.

 

-On Monday, September 2nd at 5:59P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a call of a man laying in the roadway on U.S. Hwy. 34 on the northeast edge of Kewanee.  After initial response Deputies arrested Ted Laub (age 54) of Neponset on a Hemry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charges of retail theft and driving on a suspended drivers license.  He was also charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of a controlled substance.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Monday, September 2nd at 11:44P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Il. Hwy. 81 near Andover.  The driver of the vehicle, Brittany Wooten (age 25) of Orion, was issued notice to appear citations for driving on a suspended drivers license and no proof of insurance.

-On Tuesday, September 3rd at 1:36P.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Janet Hobbs (age 52) of Colona on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charges of operating an uninsured vehicle and expired registration.  She posted bond and was released.

 

-On Tuesday, September 3rd at 8:38P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Il. Hwy. 78 just south of Annawan.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested Erica Franklin (age 40) of Annawan for the charge of domestic battery.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Wednesday, September 4th at 10:04A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Locust St. in Cambridge.  The driver of the vehicle, Zachery Malmstrom (age 26) of Silvis, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Wednesday, September 4th at 3:40P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a traffic crash on Washington St. in Atkinson.  No injuries reported.  The driver of one vehicle, Ty Boardman (age 40) of Kewanee, was issued a citation for failing to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign intersection.

 

-On Wednesday, September 4th at 7:43P.M. Henry County Deputy went to a residence on Madison Ave. in Kewanee and arrested John Forbes (age 41) of Kewanee on a Bureau County civil body attachment.  He posted bond and was released.

 

-On Wednesday, September 4th at 11:06P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on N. Holmes St. in Cambridge.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested Cheryl Vincent (age 52) of Cambridge.  Cheryl was issued a notice to appear in court for the charge of unlawful/misuse of 911 and released.

 

-On Friday, September 6th at 2:36A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Il. Hwy. 78 south of Annawan.  The driver of the vehicle, John Clifford (age 48) of Moline, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle and he was also arrested for DUI.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Sunday, September 8th at 12:11A.M. Henry County Deputy responded to a call at a residence on N1500 Ave. south of Annawan.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested Brian Tunthakit (age 47) of Galva on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charges of failing to register as a sex offender (3 counts).  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Sunday, September 8th at 8:12P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the area of E700 St. near Osco, IL.  After initial investigation Deputies arrested James Taets (age 27) of Rock Island & Thomas Rogers (age 31) of LeClaire, IA., both for the charges of criminal trespass to property, burglary, and possession of burglary tools.  They were taken to the Henry County Jail.
