Police Beat

-On Wednesday, March 20th at 2:30P.M. Henry County Cambridge Division Deputy made a traffic stop with UTV on E. Court St.  The driver of the UTV, Darryl Clark (age 56) of Cambridge, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a revoked drivers license and a violation of a Cambridge Village Ordinance for operating a UTV on city streets when not permitted.

 

-On Wednesday, March 20th at 7:57P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Co. Hwy. 5 north of Galva.  The driver of the vehicle, Cheyenne Prouty (age 34) of Moline, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.  Cheyenne was also arrested on an arrest warrant out of McDonnough County for failing to appear in court for the original charge of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Wednesday, March 20th at 11:58P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on May St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, Savannah Blair (age 33) of Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving with no valid drivers license.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 12:32A.M. Henry County Deputy was at a business in the 600 block of N. Main St. in Kewanee and arrested Melanie Sadowski (age 23) of Kewanee on an arrest warrant out of Henry County for failing to appear in court on the original charge of operating a vehicle with suspended registration plates.  She was also arrested on an arrest warrant out of Stark County for failing to appear in court on the original charge of DUI.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 2:43A.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a single vehicle traffic crash on Il. Hwy. 81 west of Cambridge.  No injuries were reported.  The driver of the vehicle, Alyssa Galbreath (age 28) of Andover, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 10:16A.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Kashwaun Gentry (age 24) of Davenport, IA, on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of speeding.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 3:03P.M. Henry County Cambridge Division Deputy made a traffic stop on E. South St. in Cambridge.  The driver of the vehicle, Paul Bohlander (age 32) of Cambridge, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a revoked drivers license and a criminal notice to appear for retail theft.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 6:51P.M. Henry County Deputy went to 404 Rice St. in Kewanee and arrested Cassel Taylor (age 21) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for the charges of aggravated battery and domestic battery.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 7:06P.M. Henry County Cambridge Division Deputy made contact with Trevor Reed (age 20) of Cambridge.  Trevor was issued a notice to appear in court for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and he was also arrested on a Knox County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charge of driving on suspended drivers license.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, March 21st at 9:15P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a single vehicle traffic crash.  No injuries report.  The driver of the vehicle, Jerry Smith (age 64) of Peacedale, Rhode Island, was issued a citation for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

-On Friday, March 22nd at 11:58P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on S. Tremont St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, Jose Ramos (age 23) of Kewanee, was issued arrested for driving on a suspended drivers license.  Jose posted bond and was released.

 

-On Saturday, March 23rd at 10:08A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Il. Hwy. 92 north of Geneseo.  The driver of the vehicle, Brady Brassfield (age 25) of Colona, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle and arrested on a Rock Island County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charge of operating an uninsured vehicle.

 

-On Sunday, March 24th at 11:27A.M. Henry County Deputy went to 912 Zang Ave. in Kewanee and arrested Ronald Trimmer (age 49) of Kewanee, on a Henry County arrest warrant.  He posted bond and was release.

 

-On Sunday, March 24th at 2:21P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Atkinson.  The driver of the vehicle, Haben Alem (age 24) of Chicago, was issued notice to appear citations for speeding 84/70 and operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

 

-On Sunday, March 24th at 2:43P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Atkinson.  The driver of the vehicle, Tiombe Lewis (age 21) of Burlington, IA, was issued notice to appear citations for speeding 89/70 and driving with no valid drivers license.


On Friday, March 22nd, at approximately 11:42 Am, Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of the 550 Block of Franklin Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which a vehicle driven by Hadyn J Motley of Kewanee struck a parked vehicle owned by Judy Spiker Larson of Kewanee. No one was injured and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 10:15 Pm Kewanee Police were called to assist a citizen in the area of the 900 Block of Madison. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 33 year old Marcus J Taylor of Kewanee for Criminal Trespass with Persons Present. 

 

At approximately 11:32 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the 500 Block of Main Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 25 year old Ravin Russell of Kewanee on a Stark County warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of Driving While Suspended and 2 citations for Failure to Secure a Child Under 8 Years old. Bond was posted. In that same traffic stop, Kewanee Police cited 59 year old Chastity McKnight of Kewanee for Operating a Vehicle with No Evidence of Registration, Improper Use of Registration and Driving with No Insurance. 

 

At approximately 12:02 on Saturday morning Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Dwight and Mill Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 22 year old Cassidy E Lynes of Kewanee for DUI Over .08, Speeding 43 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone, Failure to Stop at a Signal, Open Alcohol Container, Failure to Signal a Turn, Possession of Cannabis 2.5 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

 

At approximately 8:44 Am on Saturday, Kewanee Police were called to the 400 Block of West Central regarding a mental patient. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested Francisco Torres Paredes on charges of OP Violation, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass and Criminal Damage to property/

 

At approximately 2:50 Pm on Saturday afternoon, Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving 29 year old Benjamin M Wright of Princeton, whose vehicle had struck a vehicle owned by Marie L Stontz. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued. 

 

 

 

 


At approximately 11:27 Am on Wednesday, Kewanee Police executed an In-State warrant when 33 year old Dale J Vahl of Kewanee turned himself in to police. Vahl was wanted on a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery and Battery. Bond was posted. 

 

At approximately 8:04 Pm Kewanee Police went to the scene of an accident on Kentville Road. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which a vehicle driven by 26 year old Gabriel Rosas of Kewanee stuck a deer. No one was injured in the accident. 

 

At approximately 10:17 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of East Oak Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 19 year old Julio I Fontanez of Kewanee for a Loud Exhaust. 


-On Monday, March 18th at 1:08P.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Donald Shaw (age 20) of Kewanee on a Bureau County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of obstructing justice.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Monday, March 18th at 2:51P.M. Henry County Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash on Co. Hwy. 5 north of Galva.  Non-life threatening injuries reported.  The driver of one vehicle, Jennifer Smith (age 43) of Cambridge, was issued a citation for failing to yield right-of-way.

 

-On Tuesday, March 19th at 12:17P.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Lewis Jordan (age 51) on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear or pay on the original charge of operating an uninsured vehicle.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Tuesday, March 19th at 9:33P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on 3rd St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, Rose Christian (age 31) of Kewanee, was issued a warning for speeding and citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a suspended drivers license.  Rose was arrested on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of driving on a suspended drivers license.  She was also arrested for the possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Tuesday, March 19th at 10:14P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Lake St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, Larry Thomas (age 33) of Kewanee, was issued notice to appear citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and unlawful use of registration.


At approximately 8:30 Am Kewanee Police went to the 700 Block of Tenney Street regarding a report of Truancy. At the scene, a 14 year old and a 15 year old were each cited for Truancy and Issued notices to appear in court. 

 

At approximately 12:22 Pm Kewanee Police went to the 400 Block of East 3rd Street to execute an In-State warrant. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 57 year old Charlene F Rebholz of Kewanee for Failure to Appear in court on a charge of Retail Theft. Bond was posted. 

 

At approximately 2:34 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the 700 Block of Tenney Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 43 year old Toney L Kelley of Summerville, Alabama, on a charge of Retail Theft. 

 

At approximately 7:44 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of the 500 Block of Tenney Street. In the accident, a vehicle driven by 19 year old Shang Lin is alleged to have struck a vehicle driven by 20 year old Melanie V Sanchez of Kewanee. No one was hurt in the accident. Lin was cited for Failing to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. 


Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 03-19-19

-On Monday, March 18th at 9:55A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Wolf Rd. east of Colona.  The driver of the vehicle, Stevie Williams (age 25) of East Moline, was issued notice to appear citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a suspended drivers license.


At approximately 9:47 Am on Friday morning, Kewanee Police went to a residence in the area of the 400 Block of East 3rd Street to execute an In-State warrant. At the scene, K wanee Police arrested 30 year old Theresa M Johnson of Kewanee on a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Retail Theft, Possession of Meth, Felon FTR from Furlough, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Trespass. Unable to post bond, Johnson was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 12:10 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 200 Block of South Tremont. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 24 year old Manuel Pinon for Domestic Battery. He was taken to the Henry County Jail. Also cited at this time was Brenda Hernandez of Kewanee, cited for Criminal Damage to Property. 

 

At approximately 3:17 Pm Kewanee Police responded to a call regarding a traffic accident in the area of the 100 Block of South Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by Irwin C Burhorn of Galva whose car had struck a parked vehicle owned by Mario Perez. No one was injured and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 7:56 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of East Central Boulevard. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 37 year old Wesley H Shaw of Kewanee for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device. 

 

At approximately 8:38 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 300 Block of South Main Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 39 year old Raj B Patel of Kewanee for Driving with No Valid Driver's License. 

 

At approximately 9:16 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the 700 Block of Tenney Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 33 year old Stacie Williams of Galva on a charge of Criminal Trespass to Land. 

 

At approximately 9:46 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of South Main Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 25 year old Shelby M Devito of Kewanee for Expired Registration. 

 

At approximately 11:44 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of the 1100 Block of June Street. At the scene, Police found a 16 year old driver had struck a fence. No one was injured and no citation was issued. 

 

At approximately 12:04 Am on Saturday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop on East and Nelson. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited Nicholas J Reyes of Kewanee for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Expired Registration. 

 

At approximately 1:53 Am Kewanee Police went to the 600 Block of North Adams Street to execute an In-State Warrant. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 20 year old Bradley R Phillips of Kewanee on a LaSalle County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Violation of Posted Bond. 

 

At approximately 4 Pm on Sunday afternoon Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of Hollis and McClure Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by Patricia L Martin of Kewanee and Nicholas J Reyes of Kewanee. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 5:08 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 100 Bock of Fairview. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 25 year old Joshua E West of Kewanee on a charge of Criminal Trespass to State Supported Land. 

 

At approximately 5:53 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the 100 Block of Fairview. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested Rachel D Hernandez of Kewanee on charges of Criminal Trespass to Property with People Present and Resisting Arrest. She was taken to the Henry County Jail.
