Police Beat

At approximately 3:02 Am in the area of the 1000 Block of Rockwell Street Kewanee Police arrested 33 year old Dale Vahl of Kewanee for Violation of Bond Conditions. Also arrested at the same time was 32 year old Deanna Ortega of Kewanee, arrested on charges of Obstructing Justice. Vahl was taken to the Henry County Jail while Ortega was cited and given a notice to appear in court.


24 year old Charles A. Foster of Kewanee was arrested at approximately 8:28 Am on Wednesday morning on charges that he violated a protective order. Foster was taken from the scene in the area of Railroad Avenue to the Henry County Jail.


48 Year old Mark S. Frampton of Kewanee was arrested at approximately 2:58 Pm in the area of the 400 Block of South Park Street. Frampton was cited by police after firefighters were called regarding a potential structure fire. At the scene, Frampton was placed under arrest, cited for Illegal Burning and given a Notice to Appear in court.


A traffic stop at 4:02 Pm in the 900 Block of Tenney street led to a citation for 25-year-old Anais A. Cunningham of Kewanee. Cunningham was cited for Driving While Suspended.


Kewanee Police are investigating a hit and run accident that took place on Wednesday in the area of Division and East Street South. According to Kewanee Police, at approximately 5:01 Pm an unknown vehicle struck a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Aubrey Williams of Kewanee and then fled the scene. Williams meanwhile was cited at the scene for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.


Kewanee Police arrested 22 year old Tyler K. Daniel of Kewanee following a traffic stop in the area of the 400 Block of Tenney Street at approximately 7 Pm. Daniel was arrested and cited for Driving While Suspended and Operating a Vehicle with an Expired Registration Sticker.


25-year-old Gabriel Rosas of Kewanee was cited by Kewanee Police following a traffic stop at East and Prospect Street at approximately 7:36 Pm Wednesday night. Rojas was cited for Speeding, 45 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone.


At approximately 12:06 Am Thursday morning in the area of the 100 Block of Fairview in Kewanee, Kewanee Police made a pair of arrests. 38 year old Mandy L. Pratt of Kewanee was arrested on charges of Obstructing Justice and Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer. She was given a notice to appear in court. Also arrested was 21 year old Noah M. Hess of Kewanee, charged with Criminal Trespass to State Supported Property.
