Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 02-25-2020

-On Monday, February 24th at 10:53P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on 11th Ave. in Orion.  The driver of the vehicle, Marion Rashall (age 69) of Davenport, IA., was issued a notice to appear citation for misdemeanor speeding violation (97m.p.h. in a 55m.p.h. speed zone).

Galva Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-25-2020

February 17, 2020 through February 23, 2020

 

February 17


Officer was dispatched the 500 block of SE 2nd Street for a disturbance complaint involving a suspicious person.    Officers located the suspect and warned him not to return to the establishment. 


Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 5th Ave to check the welfare of a resident.  The person was fine. 


Officer was flagged down on Exchange Street and advised of a dog running loose on Main St.  The officer located the dog but was not able to capture it. 

 

February 18


Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 2nd Ave for a domestic dispute that had occurred earlier.


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a complaint of a subject screaming and yelling. 

 

February 19


Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2nd Street for a report of 2 dogs running loose in the area.  The officer did not locate either of them. 


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 3rd Street for a report of aggressive dogs approached a subject walking and growled at them.  The dog owner was located and advised of the complaint. 


Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a parking complaint in the 300 block of NE 1st Street. 


Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a violation of an order of protection complaint.  As the result, William Kelly, 48, Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear for two counts of violation of an order of protection. 

 

February 20


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 2nd Street for a civil standby. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a verbal domestic dispute. 
As the result of a disturbance complaint in the 00 block of NE 4th Ave, Bradly Wheeler, 42, Galva, was arrested for battery, aggravated assault, and disorderly conduct.  He was transported to the Henry Co jail. 


As the result of a loose dog in the 700 block of NW 5th Ave, Robert Kremer, 59, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5th Street for a domestic disturbance. 

 

February 21


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 4th Street for a child custody dispute.  

 

February 22


Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 1st Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call.  It was determined to be a pocket dial. 


Officer was flagged down by a resident in the downtown area to talk about an ongoing issue with loose dogs in the neighborhood. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a loose dog complaint.  Officer was not able to locate. 


Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 1st Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call.  IT was determined to be an accidental misdial. 


Officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with damage only on Midland Road just north of Route 34.  A crash report was completed. 


February 23


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a theft complaint. 


As the result of a loose dog complaint in the 500 block of NW 8th Street, Robert Kremer, 59, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large. 


As the result of a loose dog complaint in the 800 block of SE 1st St, Robert Brimhall, 53, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large.

Rosa Ortega, 41, Franklin Park, IL, was issued a citation for disobeying stop sign at the intersection of South Center Ave and SE 2nd Street.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 02-24-2020

-On Wednesday, February 19th at 6:30P.M. Henry County Cambridge Division Deputy completed investigation into a theft from a vehicle in Cambridge that had occurred on February 12th.  The Deputy issued a juvenile notice to appear to a 17year old juvenile for the charges of theft and criminal damage to property.

 

-On Thursday, February 20th at 8:56A.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Jimmy Hollins (age 53) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charge of failing to register as a sex offender.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, February 20th at 6:48P.M. Henry County Deputy went to a residence on U.S. Hwy. 150 north of Orion and arrested Emily Hintze (age 23) of Orion on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charge of criminal damage to property.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, February 20th at 8:04P.M. Henry County Deputy went to a residence on 10th Ave. in Orion and arrested James Daughenbaugh (age 62) of Lynn Center on a Henry County arrest warrant for the charge of violation of bail bond.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Thursday, February 20th at 9:35P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Il. Hwy. 84 in Colona.  The driver of the vehicle, Jason Vermast (age 42) of Colona, was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Friday, February 21st at 9:10A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Il. Hwy. 92 north of Geneseo.  The driver of the vehicle, Curtis Newberry (age 24) of Prophetstown, was issued notice to appear citations for speeding(70/55), operating an uninsured vehicle, operating a vehicle with no valid drivers license, and driving on a suspended drivers license.  Curtis was also arrested on a Rock Island County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charge of driving on a suspended drivers license.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.  

 

-On Friday, February 21st at 12:56A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Colona.  A passenger in the vehicle, Larry Hicks (age 36) of Milwaukee, WI., was arrested on a Cook County arrest warrant for probation violation.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Saturday, February 22nd at 11:22A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Atkinson.  The driver of the vehicle, Ivan Chacon-Zepeda (age 24) of Chicago, was issued a notice to appear citation for operating a vehicle with no valid drivers license.

 

-On Saturday, February 22nd at 1:48P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Atkinson.  The driver of the vehicle, Sholanda Wolfe (age 30) of Davenport, IA., was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Sunday, February 23rd at 9:38P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 150 north of Orion.  The driver of the vehicle, Ethan Mason (age 19) of Davenport, IA., was issued a notice to appear citation for a misdemeanor speeding violation (89m.p.h. in a 55m.p.h. speed zone).

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-21-2020 to 02-24-2020

At approximately 9:56 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Division and East. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 37 year old Angela R Workheiser of Kewanee for Speeding 44 Miles Per Hour in a 30 Mile Per Hour Zone. 

 

At approximately 11:59 Pm on Friday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of West South Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 29 year old Bryce W Glisan of Galva for Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License and No Insurance. 

 

At approximately 10:45 Am on Saturday, Kewanee Police engaged in Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement and made a traffic stop on Interstate 80. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested Robert A Baker of Brighton, Massachusetts for Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle and Possession of Cannabis 10 to 30 Grams. 

 

At approximately 1:07 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police engaged in Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement on Interstate 80 near Geneseo made a traffic stop. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited Tavia M Vesey of Killeen, Texas for Speeding, 90 Miles Per Hour in a 70 Mile Per Hour Zone. 

 

At approximately 5:15 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police went to the area of the 200 Block of East Prospect Street to Execute an In-State Warrant. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 46 year old Angela C Seitz of Kewanee, arrested for DUI and a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Traffic Offense. Bond was posted and Seitz was released. 

 

At approximately 10:37 Pm, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 600 Block of Tenney Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 21 year old Kevin Perez of Kewanee on charges of Violation of an Order of Protection and Violation of Bail. Perez was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 12:18 Am on Sunday, Kewanee Police executed a warrant in the area of the 600 Block of Main Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 27 year old Rashaud L Harris of Aurora, Illinois on a Henry County warrant for Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of No Valid Driver’s License. Bond was posted. 

 

At approximately 11:48 Am on Sunday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop on West Garfield Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 18 year old Krothopis A Thompson of Burlington, Iowa for Speeding 49 Miles Per Hour in a 30 Mile Per Hour Zone. 

 

At approximately 9:03 Pm on Sunday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 200 Block of West Prospect. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 31 year old Stephanie J Mullins of Kewanee for No Insurance. 

 

At approximately 10:56 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of West McClure Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 20 year old Shady for Driving While License Suspended.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-20-2020 to 02-21-2020

At approximately 11:41 Am Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of the 300 Block of Tenney Street. At the scene Kewanee Police found an accident in which a vehicle driven by 45 year old Lana Barnhill of East Peoria struck a vehicle driven by 19 year old Noah C Hilton of Kewanee. No one was injured in the crash and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 1:09 Pm Kewanee Police responded to a call in the area of the 200 Block of East Oak Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police cited 32 year old Audrianna Ramsey of Kewanee for Illegal Burning. 

 

At approximately 5:01 Pm Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of Prospect and Tremont. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by Kirk H Watson of Kewanee and Elaine L Dory of Galva. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 9:59 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 200 Block of North East Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited Marerdelll La Aldridge of Kewanee for Driving While Suspended. 

 

At approximately 10:25 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 400 Block of North Lakeview. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested Danny A Shaw of Kewanee on charges of Driving While License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and a Henry County Arrest Warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of Criminal Trespass. 

 

At approximately 11:05 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 200 Block of South Main Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 35 year old Joseph T Hedrick of Davenport, Iowa on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Driving While License Suspended. Bond was posted.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-19-2020 to 02-20-2020

At approximately 2:41 Pm Kewanee Police followed up on a previous incident in the area of College Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested a 16 year old Female on a Henry County Warrant for Identity Theft. The 16 year old Female was taken to Mary Davis. 

 

At approximately 7:10 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 400 Block of East 2nd Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 39 year old Samuel F Stewart of Kewanee on a charge of Driving While Suspended.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 02-19-2020

-On Wednesday, February 12th at 11:28A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on W. Center St. in Cambridge.  The driver of the vehicle, Ariell Spann (age 29) of Galesburg, IL., was issued a citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Thursday, February 13th at 11:10A.M. Henry County Deputy was provided assistance to a motorist on U.S. Hwy. 150 north of Alpha, IL.  The driver of the vehicle, Rimvydas Vartavicius (age 41) of Willowbrook, IL., was arrested on a DuPage County arrest warrant for the charge of contempt of court.  He posted bond and was released.

 

-On Thursday, February 13th at 4:42P.M. Henry County Deputy was investigating the complaint received by a local school bus driver of a vehicle that had disobeyed the stop arm of the school bus.  After investigating the complaint the Deputy issued Dustin Swanson (age 22) of Cambridge, IL., a notice to appear citation for passing a school bus while loading/unloading passengers.

 

-On Friday, February 14th at 2:32P.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Amanda Robinson (age 27) of Galva, IL., on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of hypodermic syringe.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Sunday, February 16th at 1:55A.M. Henry County Deputy was investigating a suspicious vehicle on W. 6th St. in Kewanee.  The driver of the vehicle, Cami Menold (age 28) of Kewanee, was arrested on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charges of possession of methamphetamine, operating an uninsured vehicle, and improper use of registration.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Sunday, February 16th at 6:14P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Annawan.  The driver of the vehicle, Tevin Currie (age 22) of Kewanee, was arrested on a McDonough County arrest warrant for the charge of reckless driving.  He posted bond and was released.

 

-On Sunday, February 16th at 10:39P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Annawan.  The driver of the vehicle, Raymond Dunbar (age 23) of Chicago, was issued a notice to appear citation for a misdemeanor speeding violation (113m.p.h. in a 70m.p.h. speed zone). 

 

-On Tuesday, February 18th at 11:01P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Il. Hwy. 84 in Colona.  The driver of the vehicle, Laura Bowen (age 24) of Moline, IL., was issued notice to appear citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a suspended drivers license.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-18-2020 to 02-19-2020

At approximately 7:04 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 1800 Block of Lake Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 53 year old Tamala J Baer of Peoria on a Peoria County Arrest Warrant for Failure to Appear in Court regarding Traffic Offenses. Baer was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 9:03 Pm, Kewanee Police were called to the scene of an accident in the area of the 100 Block of South Main Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which a parked, unattended vehicle owned by James A Golnik was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Kewanee Police are investigating the case as a Hit and Run.

Galva Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-18-2020

February 10


Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 5th Ave for a welfare check on a child.  The child was located at the school.


As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of NW 5th Street, Travis Bantz, 23, Williamsfield, was arrested for driving while license suspended.  He was released with a required court date. 

 

February 11


Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to take a report involving arson in the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. 

 

February 12
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street for an attempted phone scam involving a caller claiming to work for Ameren. 


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 1st Ave for a loose dog complaint.  The dog was captured and impounded.  It's owner retrieved the dog later in the day. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7th Ave for a complaint involving harassing text messages. 


Officer assisted the Henry Co Sheriff s Dept with a single vehicle accident several miles west of Galva. 

 

February 13


Officer met with a resident at the Galva Police Department to update their yearly sex offender registration. 
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a verbal domestic dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 11th Street to deliver a message for Henry Co. 


Officer assisted the Henry Co Sheriffs Office by checking on a motorist that slid into the ditch north of town.  The driver was given a ride to Caseys to wait for a ride. 


Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 3rd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental misdial. 

 

February 14


Officer was dispatched to the railroad crossing east of town to check for a vehicle that was disabled and stuck on the railroad tracks.  The vehicle was located on 300 North at the Trolley Road crossing.  


Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. Officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone needing assistance. 


Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of SW 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial. 


Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street for a complaint involving a customer that was "refusing to pay for gas that was pumped."  The subject paid for the fuel and left.   

 

February 15


Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 3rd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental misdial.


Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Ave for a civil matter. 


Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 5th Ave for a loose dog complaint.  The dog was returned to it's owner. 


February 16


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave for an activated burglar alarm.  It was determined to be a false alarm.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-17-2020 to 02-18-2020

At approximately 2:52 Pm on Monday, Kewanee Police executed an In-State Warrant in the area of Walgreens in Kewanee. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 23 year old Sharon K Shaw of Galva on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant for Parole Violations. Shaw was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. 

 

At approximately 5:54 Pm on Monday, Kewanee Police responded to a call in the area of the 600 Block of East 5th Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 32 year old Dawn M Parks of Kewanee on a charge of Assault. 

 

At approximately 7:21 Pm on Monday, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of Central and Chestnut. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident in which a vehicle driven by Shannon M Hampton of Galva collided with a vehicle drive by Lori A Burke of Kewanee. No one was injured in the accident and no citations were issued.

At approximately 10:10 Pm Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of Burlington and Mill. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 49 year old James R Stuckey of Kewanee on charges of DUI, DUI Over .08, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an accident. 

 

At approximately 10: 52 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of 2nd and Chestnut. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited a 16 year old Male Juvenile Driver for Driving While License Suspended. 

 

At approximately 8:27 Pm on Sunday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 500 Block of Williams. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 25 year old Brandon M Dailey of Buda for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

At approximately 12:43 Am on Thursday morning, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Prospect and Vine. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 20 year old Elmer Herrera Nunez of Kewanee and 19 year old Alexis M Echelberger of Kewanee on charges of Illegal Consumption. Also arrested in this stop was 19 year old Hector Lozano of Neponset on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Less than 500 Feet from a Park, and Illegal Consumption. Also arrested in this stop was 21 year old Kevin Perez of Kewanee, arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Less than 500 Feet from a Park, OP Violation, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Lozano and Perez were taken to the Henry County Jail.

-On Monday, February 10th at 10:49A.M. Henry County Courthouse Deputies arrested Lynell Mitchell (age 42) of Chicago on a LaSalle County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for the original charge of driving on a suspended drivers license.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Monday, February 10th at 2:27P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Geneseo.  The driver of the vehicle, Guoyong Zheng (age 30) of Ames, IA., was issued a notice to appear citation for misdemeanor speeding violation (103mph in a 70mph zone).

 

-On Monday, February 10th at 2:54P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Geneseo.  The driver of the vehicle, Tairryonn Askew (age 26) of Calumet City, IL., was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Monday, February 10th at 4:06P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Geneseo.  The driver of the vehicle, Lavanna Martinez (age 31) of Union, NJ., was issued notice to appear citations for speeding (80/70), driving on a suspended drivers license, and operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

 

-On Monday, February 10th at 5:10P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop at a business parking lot on S. State St. in Atkinson.  The driver of the vehicle, Diagina Williams (age 33) of Indianapolis, IN., was issued a notice to appear citation for driving on a suspended drivers license.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-10-2020 to 02-11-2020

At approximately 5:34 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 400 Block of East 2nd Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 24 year old Cruz M Juarez of Kewanee for Speeding and Expired Registration. 

 

At approximately 12:55 Pm Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of South and Tenney Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by 19 year old Noah C Hilton of Caledonia, Michigan, 26 year old Edie P Gentry of Atkinson and 19 year Emma C Webster of Champaign, IL. No one was injured and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 6:50 Pm Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 600 Block of East 6th Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 26 year old Alicia D Meier of Castleton, 27 year old Cody L Weir and 40 year old Nicholas Frantzen of Kewanee for Criminal Trespass to Railroad Property. 

 

At approximately 8:10 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 600 Block of North East Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 24 year old Zachary R Dunn of Kewanee for Speeding 41 Miles Per Hour in a 30 MPH Zone. 

 

At approximately 11:06 Pm Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Lakeland in Kewanee. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited Marerdell La Aldridge of Sauk Village, IL, for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While License Suspended.

Galva Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-10-2020

February 3, 2020 through February 9, 2020

 

February 3


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5th Street to check on a child that left the school without permission.  The child was located and returned to the school. 


Officer was dispatched to a 9-1-1 hang-up call that plotted in the 700 block of North Center Ave.  The officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone needing assistance. 


Officer spoke to a resident in the 00 block of Morgan Road about a camper parked in the street without registration.  

 

February 4
Officer noticed that all of the railroad crossing arms were activated, but no trains were visible.  Officer directed traffic on Exchange Street until the gates went back up. 


Officer assisted a Henry Co deputy with a traffic stop on Route 34 near Midland Road involving a reported "rolling domestic dispute." 

 

February 5


Officer was notified by a resident that their dog ran away from the 00 block of NE 3rd Street.  The dog was located a short time later and returned home. 


Officer, along with the fire department and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street.  The driver had fallen asleep and lost control of the vehicle.  No injuries were reported, but the vehicle had to be towed, due to the damage. 


Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a 9-1-1 hang-up call.  It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial. 

 

February 6


Officer was dispatched to Route 34 west of town for a traffic complaint involving a vehicle driving down the roadway on it's rims. Officer located the vehicle and as the result, Hector Lozano, 19, Kewanee, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of ammunition without a FOID card. He was transported to the Galva PD for processing and released with a notice to appear in court. 


Officer was dispatched to an activated burglar alarm in the 200 block of NE 7th Street.  It was determined to be a false alarm. 


Officer was notified about 4 goats that were running in a field east of the Galva Park District.  Officer found the animal owner in the 600 block of SE 8th Ave.  The goats returned home. 


Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to take a report involving a wallet that was stolen about 2 weeks ago. 

 

February 7


Officer was advised of a dog bite incident that occurred in the 300 block of SW 4th Ave.  This incident is still pending. 


Officer was advised about a repossession that was occurring in the 100 block of NW 4th Street. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call.  It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial. 


Officer went to a residence in the 100 block of NE 4th Street to attempt to locate someone who had an outstanding arrest warrant.  As the result, Stacie Williams, 34, Galva, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for the charge of driving while license suspended.  She was unable to post bond and was transported to the Henry Co jail. 

 

February 8


Officer was notified that all of the railroad crossings were blocked by a stopped train.  BNSF railroad was contacted and the train eventually moved along. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a subject lighting small fires and putting them out with their hands.  


February 9


Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a fight involving 4-5 subjects.  This incident is still under investigation.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 02-10-2020

-On Saturday, February 8th at 4:15P.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 150 north of Alpha, IL.  The driver of the vehicle, Bryan Panelli-Clark (age 23) of Davenport, IA., was issued notice to appear citations for speeding (68/55), operating an uninsured vehicle, and driving on a suspended drivers license.

 

-On Sunday, February 9th at 1:24A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Atkinson, IL.  The driver of the vehicle, Mack Sulsanti (age 21) of Clermont, FL., was issued a notice to appear citation for a misdemeanor speeding violation (105mph in a 70mph speed zone).

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-07-2020 to 02-10-2020

At approximately 8:59 Pm Kewanee Police went to the 800 Block of North Chestnut to execute an In-State Warrant. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 26 year old Cornelius D McCrary of Kewanee on a Henry County warrant for Theft. 

 

At approximately 11:41 Pm on Friday night, Kewanee Police went to the area of the 100 Block of North Adams. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 31 year old Kindra L Crane of Kewanee on a Henry County Warrant for Failure to Appear on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Unable to post bond, Crane was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 4:34 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police were called to the 200 Block of North Chestnut. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 25 year old Gustavo Perez on charges of Aggravated Battery and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Perez was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 5:18 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 400 Block of Noth East Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 23 year old Jose L Contreras of Kewanee on charges of Driving While License Revoked and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

 

At approximately 7:58 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police were called to the 500 Block of Elliott regarding a Barking Dog. At the scene, Kewanee Police cited Jacqueline Kauffman of Kewanee for a Barking Dog. 

 

At approximately 9:16 Pm on Saturday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 900 Block of North East Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited a 17 year old Male Driver for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

 

At approximately 7:05 Pm on Sunday, Kewanee Police were called to the 100 Block of Fairview. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 23 year old Clair E Whiteside of Galva on charges of Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Trespass with People Inside. Whiteside was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 02-07-2020

At approximately 11:27 Am on Thursday, Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 100 Block of South Junior Avenue. At the scene, Kewanee Police issued a Notice to Appear Citation to 50 year old Gregory D Ryner of Geneseo on a charge of Criminal Damage to Property. 

 

At approximately 11:41 AM on Thursday, Kewanee Police went to the area of the 100 Block of South Tremont. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 29 year old James R Paige of Kewanee on a charge of Indecent Solicitation of a Child. Defendent appeared before a judge on Friday and Bond has been set at $75,000. A preliminary hearing for James R Paige set for February 18th, 2020. 

 

At approximately 3:53 Pm on Thursday, Kewanee Police were called to the area of 3rd and Lakeview. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 19 year old Dalton A Solomon of Kewanee on a charge of Aggravated Battery. Solomon was taken to the Henry County Jail. Solomon was released on a $10,000 Recognizance Bond and is expected back in court on February 18th for a prelimary hearing. 

 

At approximately 8:23 Pm on Thursday, Kewanee Police were called to the area of the 200 Block of South Tremont. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 18 year old Sydnee Gann of Kewanee on a charge of Domestic Battery. Gann was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 02-07-2020

-On Thursday, February 6th at 6:52P.M. Henry County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 150 north of Orion.  The driver of the vehicle, Jamie Phillips (age 46) of rural Orion, was issued notice to appear citations for driving on a revoked drivers license and operating a vehicle with expired registration.  He was also issued a notice to appear in court for the charge of possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle. 

 

-On Thursday, February 6th at 10:29P.M. Henry County Deputy went to a residence on N. Elm St. in Kewanee and arrested Maurice Jones (age 50) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charge of speeding.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

At approximately 5:51 Pm, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of the 900 Block of Willow. Henry County Sheriff Arrest and Citation Report 02-04-2020

-On Monday, February 3rd at 11:48A.M. Henry County Investigators were at the Henry County Courthouse and arrested Chandra Bond (age 34) of Kewanee on a Henry County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on the original charges of operating an uninsured vehicle and driving on a revoked drivers license.  She was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Monday, February 3rd at 8:31A.M. Henry County Deputy responded to a motorist assist on E490 St. north east of Alpha.  After initial investigation Deputy arrested Trenton Miller (age 34) of New Windsor, IL. on a Mercer County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court or pay probation fees.  He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

-On Tuesday, February 4th at 5:20A.M. Henry County Deputy made a traffic stop on SE 2nd St. in Galva.  The driver of the vehicle, Dalton Wisnefski (age 26) of Wyoming, IL., was issued a notice to appear citation for a misdemeanor speeding violation (96/55).

Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street for a civil issue involving a vehicle purchase. 


Officer spoke to a citizen by telephone about a dog that ran away over 2 ½  years ago. 


Officer was dispatched to a 9-1-1 hang-up call that plotted in the 300 block of North Center Ave.  It was determined to be a passing motorist that accidentally pushed the emergency button.

 
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave  for a complaint involving a stray cat causing damage to a parked vehicle. 


Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 8th Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street, Karyssa Helg, 28, Kewanee, was arrested on a Peoria Co warrant for failure to appear on the charge of retail theft.  She was unable to post bond and was transported to the Henry Co jail. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 9th Ave for a report of a battery that occurred earlier on Morgan Road.

As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street, Julie Demuynck, 29, Mineral, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operation of uninsured vehicle.  She was released with a required court date.

Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a civil property dispute. 


Officer was requested by the Stark Co Sheriffs Dept to attempt to locate a subject that pumped gas in Wyoming and left without paying.  The subject was contacted by telephone and returned. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a verbal domestic disturbance. 


Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 7th Ave for an injured animal complaint. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5th Street for a loud noise complaint. 


Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Division Street for a child custody dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Ave for a phone scam complaint. 


Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 4th Ave for a report involving lost medication. 

 

January 31


Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 3rd Ave for a loose dog complaint.  The owners were able to catch the dog. 


Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a complaint involving threatening text messages from a relative. 


Officer was dispatched to a loose dog complaint near the intersection of Front St and Exchange St.  The officer was not able to catch the dog. 


While patrolling, an officer located a loose dog in the 300 block of NE 6th Ave.  The owner was contacted and retrieved the dog. 


Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the 700 block of SW 4th Street for an activated fire alarm.  It was determined to be a false alarm. 


Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about ongoing issues a resident is having with an ex-boyfriend. 


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Street for a loose cat complaint. 


As the result of a theft complaint at Sentry Estates, Paul Wilmer, 57, Galva, was arrested for theft under $500.00.  He was given a notice to appear in court and released. 

 

February 1


Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Morgan Road for a prowler complaint. The officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone in the area. 


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 8th Ave for a landlord / tenant dispute. 


Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Division Street for a neighbor dispute.

February 2


Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7th Street for a stolen vehicle report.  A short time later, the vehicle was found unoccupied and had been involved in a rollover accident north of town.  This incident remains under investigation.

Kewanee Police Arrest and Citation Report 01-31-2020 to 02-04-2020

At approximately 1:38 Pm on Friday afternoon, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of the 300 Block of South Main Street. At the scene, Kewanee Police found an accident involving vehicles driven by Daniel R Juarez of Kewanee and Esgar J Herrera Gandarilla of Kewanee. No one was injured and no citations were issued. 

 

At approximately 8:12 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of East and Rollins. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited a 17 Year old Male for Violation of GDL Passenger Limit and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

 

At approximately 8:47 Pm on Saturday, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 100 Block of East Prospect. In that stop, Kewanee Police issued a Civil Cannabis Citation for Possession of Less than 10 Grams of Cannabis to a 17 Year old Female. 

 

At approximately 12:13 Am on Sunday, Kewanee Police responded to a scene in the area of the 300 Block of Franklin. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 42 year old Stanley E Scott of Kewanee on charges of Domestic Battery, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Scott was taken to the Henry County Jail. 

 

At approximately 3:51 Pm on Sunday, Kewanee Police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of Prospect and Tremont. At the scene, Police found an accident in which a vehicle driven by 19 year old Travis J Swanson struck a vehicle owned by James N Taylor of Kewanee. Swanson was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. No one was injured in that accident. 

 

At approximately 2:07 Am on Monday, Kewanee Police attemped to execute a warrant in the area of the 800 Block of Willow. At the scene, Kewanee Police arrested 34 year old Zachary A Miles of Pekin on a Tazewell County warrant for Possession of Synthetic Narcotic and Possession of Methamphetamine. Miles was also arrested for Obstructing Justice and Possession of Methamphetamine. Miles was taken to the Henry County Jail.

 

At approximately 9:27 Pm on Monday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of Church and East Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 18 year old Saul A Serna of Kewanee for Disobeying a Stop Sign. 

 

At approximately 9:51 Pm on Monday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 300 Block of South Main Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police cited 19 year old Damian J Nierynck of Kewanee for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device. 

 

At approximately 10:52 Pm on Monday night, Kewanee Police made a traffic stop in the area of the 200 Block of East 3rd Street. In that stop, Kewanee Police arrested 32 year old Brandon L Lee of Kewanee on charges of No valid Drivers License and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Lee was taken to the Henry County Jail.
