Regional Media Movie Review Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

"Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" finds the Caped Crusader (Ben AfflecK) at odds with Superman (Henry Cavill) over the devastating events depicted in "Man of Steel." Bruce Wayne's Wayne Financial building was among those destroyed in the fight between Superman and General Zod (Michael Shannon) and hundreds of his employees were among the casualties. Much of the plot of "Batman Vs Superman" revolves around the consequences of someone with the powers of Superman and how he intends to use those powers and how people like Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) menacingly toys with the fear and suspicions that people like Bruce Wayne have regarding Superman. And then, of course, there is the epic battles, incredible cameos, and general comic book world building. Here is my review of "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Regional Media Movie Review Anomalisa

Michael Stone (David Thewlis) is suffering from alienation to the point where the voices of everyone from his wife to friends to colleagues, all sound exactly the same (all voiced by actor Tom Noonan). That is however, until he meets Lisa (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Lisa has her own voice and the two begin a romance but will she stay unique or come to sound like everyone else in Michael's life. Here's my review of "Anomalisa."

Regional Media Movie Review Miracles From Heaven

"Miracles from Heaven" is the true story of Anna Beam, a pre-teen who was diagnosed with a life threatening disease that prevented her from processing food. Seemingly a death sentence, Anna's condition is cured when she falls from a tree and her digestive system simply starts working again. Was this a miracle from God? Here's my review of "Miracles from Heaven."

Melissa Rauch stars in "The Bronze" as former Olympic Gymnastics hero Hope Ann Gregory whose lived for 10 years on the fame of her one big Olympic moment, saving a Bronze medal performance for the American gymnastics team with a near flawless vault on a broken ankle. 10 years later she's a foul mouthed, emotionally stunted sociopath happy to spend her days stealing money from her father (Gary Cole) and coasting on her former fame. When a new potential Olympian from her home town begins to make headlines Hope decides she needs to stop her before she steals her spotlight. Here's my review of "The Bronze"

Regional Media Movie Review The Perfect Match

The Perfect Match stars Terrence Jenkins as Charlie Mack, a slick player with the ladies who's philosophy of no attachments and guilt free casual sex is about to be challenged. Charlie's best friend Victor (Robert Christopher Riley) is getting married and he along with other best friend Rick (Donald Faison) are willing to wager that if Charlie gave a woman a chance he would find love just as they have. The bet involves Charlie staying with one woman in the several weeks until Victor's wedding. If Charlie isn't in love by then, his friends will stop nagging him about his no strings attached lifestyle. The woman that Charlie chooses is Eva (Cassie Ventura) and she definitely challenges Charlie's way of life. Here's my review of The Perfect Match...

Regional Media Movie Review 10 Cloverfield Lane

10 Cloverfield Lane is potentially a sequel to the groundbreaking found footage alien attack movie "Cloverfield." 10 Cloverfield Lane stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Michele who is in the midst of running away from her boyfriend when she is involved in a massive car wreck. Upon awakening, Michele finds herself in a bizarre bunker some 40 feet below ground. The bunker belongs to Howard (John Goodman) who claims to have saved her life after the accident by bringing her to his farm and his survivalist bunker which he expects will sustain them and fellow 'guest' Emmitt (John Gallagher Jr) for two years, enough time for the chemicals in the air outside to disipate following what Howard claims is some sort of attack. Here's my review of 10 Cloverfield Lane...
