The Illinois State Fair had a record setting year. The Illinois Department of Agriculture says that revenues for the 11 day event topped $6.5 million. Fair attendance was more than 500,000 that’s at least more than any other fair since 2014. State Fair Manager Kevin Gordon says they count adult ticket sales and parking. But they use estimations when trying to determine how many kids entered free and other free days for veterans and seniors.
