Central Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis is advocating for more to be done at the federal level to address mass shootings in the country. The latest shootings took place over the weekend in Texas and Ohio. Davis says mental health is an issue and more school districts need to apply for federal money to receive help like his district in Taylorville.
Davis says focusing only on guns as the issue won't solve the problem. He says a federal fusion center is needed for departments to better work together.
The mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton killed over 30 people.
