Today on the Open Line our main topic was Right to Work Zones. Governor J.B Pritzker on Friday signed legislation that banned right to work zones in the state. A right to work zone is a local ordinance that had been passed by municipalities to prevent unions from taking union dues from the paychecks on non-union employees. Thanks for this new legislation, Unions can continue to collect union dues from the paychecks of non-union employees. Workers have the right not to join unions but they are still subject to union dues as the union remains in charge of agreements between management and employees. Is this truly the best policy or is this about political deal-making between Unions and Democrats who've been the biggest beneficiary of union back political donations. There were alos brief discussions of Tiger Woods and politically correct editing of classic movies on today's Open Line Podcast.
