Senator Dick Durbin responded to claims from President Donald Trump that Democrats “do not want border security.” In a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Durbin maintained Democrats did tackle the issue, with a bipartisan majority of the Senate agreeing to Durbin’s bipartisan immigration and border security agreement. Durbin maintains it failed because of the Trump Administration’s opposition.
