This time of year can be tough for those who don't have a regular health care provider. That's why the Henry and Stark County Health Department is reminding area residents about their nurse practitioner program. Health Department clinics in Kewanee and Colona are staffed with Nurse Practitioners who are able to help patients with everything from the flu to earaches, sore throats or urinary tract infections. Sandy Sommer, RN Director of Health Department services concludes, "Many people do not realize the array of Clinical Services we offer. Due to the fact that many of our programs receive Federal and State funding, savings can be passed on. Our clinic services can offer access to low-cost healthcare to those without health insurance or those who have a high insurance deductible. You do not have to be a resident of Henry or Stark County to access many services. We do accept some insurances. Call our offices to see if your insurance is one of them."
