We'd like to believe that it couldn't happen to our kids but anyone with a phone can be the target of sex traffickers or even those who use sexual images to extort. Trooper Jason Wilson with the Illinois State Police was our guest on People to People on Thursday, a day after he spoke with kids at Orion High School about sexting and 'sextortion,' when someone uses a sexual image to extort further contact or create a blackmail scenario. Predators are using any means necessary to solicit kids for racy images that they can then use against them with ramifications that can go beyond mere embarrassment into the realm of human trafficking. It's a message all parents need to hear regarding your kids and their phones.
