Angel Trees are up across Kewanee but they will be on the move to Wal Mart this weekend. That according to Amber Patch Troxell who is working with the Salvation Army to organize this year's Angel Tree. The tags remaining on this year's Angel Trees will be moved to Kewanee Wal Mart this weekend to help make buying Christmas gifts for needy children this holiday season a little more convenient. The Angel Tree is an opportunity for you to grab a tag off of the tree, buy one of the presents on that tag and take that present to the Kewanee Salvation Army where they will get that present to the needy child attached to that tag. If you're a family that feels you could use the help to make sure your child gets a Christmas present this year, you can contact the Kewanee Salvation Army 309-852-4192 for more information. The deadline to sign up for Angel Tree passed back in November but Amber Patch Troxell and Eddie Tolliver, the new boss at the Kewanee Salvation Army tell WKEI that they will not turn away those in need. Families who've already signed up for Angel Tree gifts can pick up their gifts on December 18th and 19th at the Kewanee Salvation Army.
