The Honor Flight Program will be held Sunday afternoon from 3-6 in the Bishop Hill Village Park.
The program raises funds that are donated to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities which choses fortunate veterans to visit their memorials in Washington D.C.
Linda Spring of the Filling Station Restaurant in Bishop Hill is the driving force behind the effort and she says that in the last nine years, the community has raised over $90,000 for the Quad Cities Chapter of the Honor Flight…
The Illinois Patriot Guard and the Legion Riders will convene at the Galva American Legion at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon and they will then escort the United States Flag to the event in Bishop Hill.
One of the features of the day will be a live auction and Glenda Wallace from the Colony Store in Bishop Hill says they have some great items that will be available once again this year…

Golf cart shuttle services will be provided by Cambridge Cart to help with the parking congestion and those that will be attending are advised to bring their own lawn chairs with them.
