A national study shows half of consumers believe the food they eat is grown using sustainable practices. But that means half don't believe so. An Illinois Farm Bureau group met recently as part of its effort to build more trust with consumers. James Bloomstand owns a farm in Iroquois County but lives in heavily populated Cook County. The two recently met along with dozens of other farmers and other Farm Bureau members as part of the organization's action teams. Other teams help develop leaders, and work to improve the quality of life in rural Illinois.
