Blackhawks Beat Islanders

Joakim Nordstrom and Jonathan Toews each lit the lamp in the first period as theBlackhawks held off the Islanders 3-2 in Chicago.  Michal Handzus netted the game-winner nearly seven minutes into the second period for Chicago, which improved to 2-1-and-1.  Nikolai Khabibulin allowed both goals on 19 attempts for the win.  Kevin Poulin stopped 25 shots in defeat.  Josh Bailey and Kyle Okposo both scored with under a minute to play in the first frame for New York, which slipped to 2-1-and-1.
