Aaron Hernandez was indicted Thursday on new charges connected to two alleged incidents that occurred while the former NFL tight end is being held in jail on murder charges. A grand jury indicted Hernandez on charges of assault and battery and threats to do bodily harm, according to multiple reports. The first charge is connected to an alleged assault on Feb. 25 in the Bristol County corrections facility. The second new charge is related to an alleged threat made inside the same facility last Nov. 1, according to WCVB in Boston. Hernandez pleaded not guilty in September to a charge of first-degree murder and five accompanying weapons charges in the shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee.
