Bartolo Colon pitched seven innings of one-run ball to outduel Lance Lynn as the Mets topped the Cardinals 4-1 at Citi Field. Colon struck out eight while allowing just four hits and no walks for his second win of the season. Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched the ninth for his first career save. Chris Young homered and Daniel Murphy had an RBI double and run-scoring single for New York, which took three-of-four in the series. Lynn fanned nine in six and a third innings, but gave up three runs to fall to 4-and-1 with the loss. Tony Cruz had an RBI double for St. Louis in defeat.
