(Charlotte, NC) -- Colin Kaepernick [[ CAP-er-nik ]] threw and rushed for a touchdown as the 49ers scored 17 unanswered points to sink the Panthers 23-10 in an NFC Divisional Round game from Charlotte. Kaepernick ended with 196 yards through the air and only 15 on the ground for San Francisco, which advances to play in its third straight NFC Championship Game. The Niners will take on the Seahawks in Seattle next Sunday. Anquan Boldin had eight catches for 136 yards in the win. Cam Newton tossed for 267 yards, one TD and two interceptions for Carolina. Steve Smith hauled in four receptions for 74 yards and the lone touchdown.
Broncos Beat Chargers
(Denver, CO) -- Peyton Manning threw for 230 yards, two touchdowns and an interception as the Broncos defeated the Chargers 24-17 in their AFC Divisional Round game from Denver. Knowshon Moreno rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown for Denver, which will play Tom Brady and the Patriots at Mile High next Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker each had a TD grab in the win. Philip Rivers tossed for 217 yards and a pair of scores for San Diego. Keenan Allen had six catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns for the Chargers in the season-ending defeat.
