WEST POINT, IL - Karen Sue Kaiser, 71, of West Point, formerly of Kewanee, died at 4:38 AM, August 12, 2014 at Blessings Hospital in Quincy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, August 20 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
She was born January 15, 1943 in Peoria, the daughter of Perry and Dorothy (Mercer) Merritt. She married Kenneth L. Kaiser on May 26, 1973 in Kewanee. He survives, as do two sons, David LeRoi (Beata Mae) Stout of Colchester, IL and Kenneth Andrew “Andy” Kaiser of Bowen, IL, two brothers, Gerald (Mary Sue) Merritt of Rushville, IL and William Merritt of Kewanee, a sister, Janean (Larry) Johnson of Cambridge, three grandchildren, Richard (Talitha) Pollock, Brandy (Anthony) Herbert and Kelly (Mike) Columbus and six great grandchildren, Gabriella and Genevieve Pollock, Aurora and Gabriel Herbert and Myra and Bradyn Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents.
