KEWANEE - Judge M. McCloud, 76, of Kewanee, passed away at 7:48 AM, Friday, February 14, 2014 in emergency room at Kewanee Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 22 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Rev. Lawrence Anderson of the Second Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
He was born February 2, 1938 in Cecil, AL, the son of Joseph and Tuckcora (Campbell) McCloud. He married Thelma Moore. Survivors include his loving wife, three sons, Alonzo Butler and William and Zachary Shaw, six daughters, Elaine, Sheryl and Tonya McCloud, Arnilour Strong and Cecilia and Venus Shaw, his brother, James McCloud, four sisters, Alberta White, Tuckcora Lucas, Corabell Hall and Mattie McCloud, forty-one grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Hanna and Nancy McCloud and Mary Anna Phillips, a brother, Joseph McCloud II and a brother-in-law, Joe White.
Judge had worked for the City of Birmingham as a garbage truck driver and then later as a custodian until his retirement. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Kewanee. This obituary may be viewed and private condolences left at www.ruxfuneralhome.com.
