Wyoming – Dwight Dean Persinger, 56, of Wyoming, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013, at his residence.
Dwight was born January 10, 1957, in Pratt, KS., the son of Dave and Della Wilmot Persinger. He married Marsha Wilkinson on October 2, 2010 in Wyoming, IL. She survives.
He is survived by his five children, Justin (Jessica) Williams of Wyoming, Lisa Williams of Kewanee, Rebecca (James) Saner of Wyoming, Hannah (Jason) Theobald of Toulon, and Sam Delbridge of Wyoming; 10 grandchildren, Dallas Theobald, Alex and Rhys Williams, Ross Saner, Corbin Williams, Jackson Saner, Guinevere Theobald, Xander Theobald, Kennedy Saner, and Hunter Theobald; two brothers, Dennis (Sue) Persinger of Sparland, and Dale (Lori) Persinger of Toulon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
Dwight was employed at Armalite Inc in Geneseo, IL. He enjoyed volunteer coaching for the Wyoming JFL football program, and spending time with his wife and family fishing, camping and watching Pittsburgh Steelers football.
He was a member and deacon at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Wyoming, where a celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Rev. Matthew Noffke will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded and a burial of ashes will be at Wyoming cemetery at a later date. Haskell–Hott Funeral Homes in Wyoming is assisting the family with arrangements.
