Warren Kenneth Drinkall, 78, of Annawan, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 in the Emergency Room of Kewanee Hospital. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Vandemore Funeral Homes Ltd, Atkinson. Rev. Terry Lancaster will officiate. Burial will follow at Annawan Cemetery. Visitation for Warren will be from 5-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Warren’s name to the Annawan/Alba Rescue Squad.
Warren was born on February 15, 1935 in Spring Valley, Minnesota, the son of Bernice (Bauer) and Lloyd Drinkall. He married Monica (Smith-Briggs) on November 27, 1965 in Spring Valley, MN. Warren graduated from Wykoff High School in Minnesota. Warren and Monica moved to Annawan in 1972. Warren worked at the Chicago Atkinson Livestock Market until he retired in 1997. Warren enjoyed country music, fishing, watching western movies, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
Warren is survived by his wife, Monica; 2 sons: Craig (Michelle), Hooppole, Kevin (Angela), Kewanee; 2 step sons: Lonnie (Sue), Mt. Horeb, WI, Jeff (Dee), Princeton: 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 siblings: Darrell (Vivian) Drinkall, Spring Valley, MN, Larry (Clarice) Drinkall, MO, Marcella (Donald) Jonas, Good Hue, MN.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald, and grandsons Brandon and Dalton.
