Nadine Draminski, 88, of Kewanee, passed away at 12:55 AM, Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Kewanee Care Home.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM, Saturday, August 24 at Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Senior Citizens Center or to Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
She was born October 4, 1924 in Salisbury, NC, the daughter of Charles and Willie (Lyerly) Crook. She married Stanley J. Draminski on August 6, 1945 in Salisbury, NC and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2007. Survivors include her son, David (Susan) Draminski of Kewanee, a brother, Charles Crook of Salisbury, NC, a sister, Jean Faye Moore of Salisbury, NC and four grandchildren, John David, Erin, Andrew and Olivia. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Nadine had worked as a checker at the A&P store, as a meter maid for the City of Kewanee and in the cafeteria at Wethersfield School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church and had also been a member of the Women’s Mission Society at the church. She enjoyed cooking and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
