Nolan Seamus Keane, 28, of Kewanee, Il. died at 8:45 A.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home with his loving wife Morgan and family members at his side.
Nolan was born July 14, 1984 in Kewanee, Il. the son of Patrick C. and Diane (Freeburg) Keane. He grew up in Kewanee and graduated from Wethersfield High School in 2003. Nolan graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. with a B.S. Degree in Hospitality Management. Nolan was a member of his college baseball team and played outfield for the Bears. He received several conference and team honors during his career.
Nolan married Morgan Carstens on March 9, 2013 in Peoria, Il. She survives along with his parents Pat and Diane of Kewanee, one brother Patrick S. (Kristin) Keane of Toulon, Il. a niece Kalleigh and a nephew Kellan. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Nolan attended the First Congregational Church in Toulon. He loved the game of baseball and especially loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog Ace.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the First Congregational Church in Toulon, Il. Rev. Wayne McLeod will officiate. Burial will be in the Wethersfield Cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Visitation will be from 3-7 P.M. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Memorials may be directed to the Make A Wish Foundation or the Brain Tumor Institute and Northwestern University.
