A couple of reminders of some of the activities scheduled for this weekend in Kewanee.
The Henry and Stark County Health Department staff will be on hand on Saturday from 10 til 12 noon for a presentation on the Get Covered Illinois Health Marketplace and the Affordable Care Act.
The event will be held at Kewanee Public Library and trained in person staff will be on hand to provide assistance. They will also provide any other information and will also make appointments to help area residents navigate those new health care programs.
The public is also reminded of the Kewanee High School Theater Department’s presentation of To Kill a Mockingbird which will be held at Kewanee High Schools’ Petersen Auditorium on Saturday evening with a 7 o’clock performance and also at 2 o’clock on Sunday afternoon.
To Kill a Mockingbird is based on the novel by Harper Lee which was published in 1960.
It is truly a classic, renowned for its warmth and humor despite dealing with the serious issues of rape and racial inequality.
As expected, a sterling cast of actors from Kewanee High School will bring this play to life.
Tickets are priced at $5 for Adults and $4 for students. Tickets will be available at the door.
