A number of Illinois state parks, fish and wildlife areas, conservation areas and recreation areas will be open to young hunters, during the 2013 Youth Waterfowl Hunt. As part of the Youth Hunt, hunters age 15 or younger may hunt as long as they are accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age. The Lake Depue State Fish and Wildlife Area in Bureau County will be open Saturday and Sunday, the 12th and 13th. Starved Rock State Park will be open to youth hunters October 19th and 20th.
