Farmers Hoping Rain Will Help Struggling Crop

Rain in the forecast for next couple days, and that’s good news for farmers in Western Illinois.  They’ve gotten less than two inches of rain this month and Ron Moore, from Warren County, says it’s taking a toll on crops.  He says the corn is already losing moisture and starting to turn brown at the bottom.  Moore says they’ll need at least an inch of rain between now and the end of September in order to have a healthy crop this year.
