Train Day In Kewanee

All aboard for National Train Day in Kewanee coming up Saturday, May 11th!  Family friendly events that morning include displays of railroad memorabilia, the Kewanee Farmers Marker selling locally grown produce, along with local talent attractions and demonstrations.  Visitors will hear the tales of Abraham Lincoln riding the rails told by his law partner Billie Herndon, portrayed by storyteller and author Brian “fox” Ellis.  The event is sponsored by the Henry County Tourism Bureau, the Stationhouse Restaurant, the City of Kewanee, and the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce.  National Train Day vendors are wanted for the event.  All types of vendors, except food, are desired.  To register call the Henry County Tourism office or visit the office at the Kewanee Amtrak Station.
