State Senator Jim Oberweis wants to square off against U.S. Senator Dick Durbin before the November election. Oberweis is trying to unseat Durbin. He's challenged him to seven debates, hoping to shine a light on what he calls Durbin's job-killing record. According to Oberweis, at least 350-thousand more Illinoisans are without work since Durbin was last reelected. A Durbin spokesman says the Senator will gladly face off in debate, as he's done with every opponent he's had.
