Pegasus Manufacturing, a supplier of precision parts, will move to Galesburg, where it plans to hire at least 17 people. The company is relocating from Morgan Hill, California. The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity approved tax credits for the company, contingent on the new jobs and a capital investment of at least 1-million dollars in Galesburg. Pegasus CEO Ruth Whitehead said the company selected Illinois because of the dedicated work ethic of the people, coupled with their willingness to do whatever it takes to get a job done. Pegasus has operated for 14 years and some of the company’s customers include Harley-Davidson, Apple, and the Burlington Northern Railway Company. Director of Operations for Pegasus Ray Whitehead said Galesburg provides the company with a central location from which to serve existing customers and expand. The company has begun operating in the Galesburg Industrial Park.
