Quarters One on Arsenal Island opens for a Christmas Tea & Tour on Sunday, December 10, 2017, hosted by the Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation.  There will be two seatings, one at 12 noon and one at 3 p.m.

 

Attendees of the Christmas Tea will enjoy savory and sweet delights, several types of teas, and a guided tour of the historic Quarters One mansion decorated for the holidays.

 

Tickets are $25 per person, and may be purchased online at www.davenporthouse.org or by calling Judy Tumbleson at 309-786-5980.  Please indicate which time you’d like to attend.  Only paid attendees of the Christmas Tea will be able to tour Quarters One.

 

The Christmas Tea is sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America and Modern Woodmen representative Doug Grenier.

 

The Rock Island Arsenal is an active military installation.  This tour has been declared a Special Event so guests may enter Arsenal Island with just their U.S. picture ID.  Simply tell the guard you are going to Quarters One.  Only the Moline gate will be open onSunday, December 10.

 

The Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation (CDHF) is a nonprofit all volunteer organization that works to preserve Colonel George Davenport’s former home and share his story with the community.
