The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce has been named a winner of two industry awards presented annually by Alexandria, Va.-based Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives: an Award for Communications Excellence and a Membership Achievement Award.
The Communications Excellence awards program is designed to celebrate exceptional work in the areas of advertising and marketing, campaigns, digital and publications. The Quad Cities Chamber received a Communication Award of Excellence for its I’m Invested campaign which featured Chamber members sharing stories on how their investment in the Chamber is making an impact on growing the regional economy.
This year's Communications Excellence competition attracted entries from chambers of commerce in the United States and the Cayman Islands. A panel of peers — communications and marketing executives from chambers of commerce around North America — evaluated submissions and selected top entries to receive recognition.
“It’s an honor to be recognized nationally for our work in membership and for our communication efforts,” said Tara Barney, President and CEO of the Quad Cities Chamber. “We work tirelessly with our members to advance the region and it is vital that the messages we are communicating are not only heard but can unite the community, inspire action, and grow the region together.”
The Membership Achievement Awards are based on information voluntarily entered in Dynamic Chamber Benchmarking, in the Fiscal Year 2016 Operations Survey. The Quad Cities Chamber is recognized as being among the top 10 Chambers of its size in the nation for member retention.
